Between December 28 and 31, the National Association of Hungarian Breeders will organize the FCI European Dog Show and its accompanying events in Budapest. Thousands of domestic and European dogs are expected to attend the event.
More than 16,000 dogs from 57 countries come to the event, which is hosted by Hungexpo. The largest number of entries came from Hungary, and our country will participate in the exhibition with more than 3,000 dogs - said András Korózs, president of the National Association of Hungarian Breeders, at the event's press conference in Budapest.
Government Commissioner Zoltán Kovács recalled that the event originally planned for May had to be moved to the end of December for pandemic and organizational reasons, so the world event will be the closing event of the "One with Nature" - World Hunting and Nature Exhibition.
István Simicskó, KDNP faction leader and member of the Hungarikum Committee, praised the nine Hungarian dog breeds and called them an irreplaceable national treasure in his speech.
The European Dog Show is one of the most important international dog shows in the world, which is held every year. The exhibition is enriched by professional programs, special events and club exhibitions organized by breed clubs, and the World Meeting of Hungarian Dog Breeds will also be held on the 30th.
