Anita Herczegh, the president of the board of trustees of the Regőczi Foundation and the wife of the president of the republic, visited children left orphaned or semi-orphaned as a result of the coronavirus epidemic in all seven regions and met with affected families. His country tour ended on Thursday in Budapest.

"Cooperation with local governments, social workers, charitable organizations, and government offices is essential for the operation of the foundation. During the tour, we outlined our ideas and shared our experiences so that the help for the affected families is effective and targeted," said Anita Herczegh at the press conference held at the headquarters of the Hungarian Red Cross.

He emphasized that it is quite different to decide on the lives of families and determine the amount of support if they can help based on personal impressions and conversations instead of a data sheet. He added that he will continue his family visit tour after that.

"The activities of the Regőczi Foundation can only be successful if the partnership relationship is maintained. It is in the common interest of all of us to effectively help the affected families. We cannot replace a deceased parent, but the supportive attention may help them to continue their lives," noted Anita Herczegh.
