We work to ensure that children have a chance to be born into a loving family and grow up in such a way that we provide them with the necessary conditions for their physical and mental development, said the minister without portfolio responsible for families at the award ceremony for professional recognition related to family policy in Budapest on Monday.
Katalin Novák put it this way: there are those who help so that the conceived lives can be born, come to a loving family and live with dignity. He emphasized: the basic law also protects life from conception, and imposes an obligation on the government to support marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman, the family, as well as the community of love based on the parent-child relationship and to promote childbearing.
Katalin Novák also drew attention to the fact that next year three and a half times more money will be allocated to family allowances than in 2010, young people will be exempt from personal income tax, families raising children will get their paid personal income tax back, and the government will bring back the 13th monthly pension .
Referring to the Advent season, he said: they gathered to celebrate and give thanks, which is a good feeling even if the world around us is not loud with this type of competition and a greater resonance can be achieved with commonplace things; as if true value is less rewarded by the community. Therefore, the award ceremony is an opportunity to point out the values, he added.
He told the awardees: through them, they can set an example for others, and the recognition can be a confirmation for them that what they do is not in vain and can help them overcome difficulties.
The Opportunity for Life award was presented for the first time, and the recognition can be awarded to those who achieve outstanding results in the field of opportunity creation, act in the defense of human dignity, and do outstanding work in the field of combating domestic violence and human trafficking.
