Pope Francis is supporting the public media's 10-year charity campaign with an extraordinary gift: he is sending a statue of St. Joseph to be auctioned off to help this year's beneficiary of the program, the Regőczi Foundation, which supports Covid orphans, announced project leader Beatrix Siklósi, channel director of Kossuth radio.

Beatrix Siklósi recalled in Kossuth Rádió's Vasárnapi Újság program: during the Eucharistic Congress, she had the honor of traveling together with Pope Francis, who she later asked in a letter to support the charity program and the foundation.

"Yesterday morning, we received the answer that Pope Francis will join the program with great love and will send a beautiful statue of St. Joseph, which we can auction off," said Beatrix Siklósi in the program. The statue depicts how St. Joseph teaches the baby Jesus to carpentry. The public media would like to contribute to the foundation's work with this gift.
