Dezső Bodnár, Gordon Bajnai and Gyula Gansperger's former colleagues from Wallis appeared before the capital's investigation committee on Monday as quasi-crown witnesses in the City Hall case.

His name has already come up in the City Hall case, as his voice was included in an audio recording published on November 26

A few days ago, Zsolt Láng received a letter from a real estate consultant, who made a confirmed written "confession" before a notary and sent it to the politician. When the head of the Fidesz faction in Budapest reported all this to the press, he did not name the author of the letter, but said that the person had promised to appear at today's meeting of the committee. That's how it happened, he came. (Incidentally, after Láng's announcement, Gergely Kárácsony wrote in his Facebook post that "A criminal from Fidesz is another "crown witness" of Fidesz". The mayor thought that another actor in the case, Péter Zentai, was the author of the letter, he called him a criminal from Fidesz, but he was wrong. )

He repeated his earlier claims

Bodnár repeated the statements of his letter before the committee and stated that the secret audio recordings only partially reflect what he said, the different parts are cut together. He then said: he was invited to a meeting on May 5, 2021, at the office of the capital asset manager, where the sale of the City Hall and other properties was discussed. This meeting was organized by Zsolt Berki, who, according to Gyula Gansperger's statement in an earlier audio recording, is the central figure of the capital's "commission system": he collects and distributes the 10 percent bribes.

According to Bodnár, Barts J. Balázs, the general manager of the capital asset management company, as well as one of his colleagues, Zsolt Berki, Gyula Gansperger and the investor's representative, also took part in the negotiation, during which, in addition to the City Hall, the properties on Tétényi út, Rimaszombat út and Bécsi út were sold. was discussed. The most valuable property was the City Hall, for which a purchase price of around 40 billion was mentioned. Bodnár made it clear that Barts spoke about the City Hall case in such a way that several uses could be discussed, including the sale, and he gleaned from the CEO's words that the negotiation is taking place with the consent of the city administration.

Ten percent commission

Dezső Bodnár also spoke before the committee about the 10 percent commission that Zsolt Berki would have asked for after the deal was discussed in another meeting - in which Balázs Barts did not participate. The intermediary said that the amount is so high because the money must be given to "higher circles".

In response to a question, the crown witness said that

He approached Zsolt Berki with the idea of selling the Town Hall. According to Bodnár, Berki was particularly confident and behaved as if he were representing the Metropolitan Municipality.

Returning to his role, Zsolt Berki confirmed what he wrote in his letter: after the 10 percent commission was discussed, the negotiations were interrupted. According to Bodnár, after Zsolt Berki left the meeting, the investor stated: "Thank you very much, not this!" In response to the question, the witness also said that he did not participate in the aforementioned commission system.

Bodnár was also asked whether it had been said that the capital municipality would launch a tender for the sale of the City Hall, to which he replied that there was no tender, but he - he repeated - had learned from Zsolt Berki that the mayor also knew about the matter.

By the way, the crown witness said several times that the case affects him extremely unpleasantly, his authority has been shaken, his credibility has been questioned, he is not called as often as before, several of his projects have suffered from this embarrassing story, which means a serious existential situation for him, since as an individual entrepreneur, real estate development his occupation, he lives from it.

By the way, Bodnár confirmed that he is also ready to testify at the police.
