Janez Jansa said after the talks, according to Politico: if a problem arises in relation to a piece of legislation in any EU member state, there are legal mechanisms that can be initiated by the European Commission, and at the end of these, legal decisions are made that everyone must accept.

Mateusz Morawiecki defended the Hungarian regulations , saying that families and children must be protected. He emphasized that parents have the right to determine how to raise their children.

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen , announced that the EU commission had sent a letter to the Hungarian government regarding the legally disputed points of the law, and that Hungary's response was awaited. According to von der Leyen, ten million people live in Hungary, so there are ten million reasons for Hungary to remain a member of the union. He also said that Brussels plans to allocate an additional three billion euros until 2024 to support refugees living in Turkey.

Emmanuel Macron emphasized that he does not support the application of the relevant article of the EU treaty to exclude Hungary from the EU, instead, effective procedures are needed to enforce EU values. Macron opposes linking the payment of EU economic resources to the respect of values,

According to the Government Information Center, Viktor Orbán made it clear at the EU summit that the law on the protection of children is not about gays, but about children. Hungary considers it important that no one but the parents should interfere in the sexual education of children, therefore the law prohibits both heterosexual and homosexual propaganda aimed at children - they wrote, adding: Hungary is a free country, the state does not interfere in the lives of adult Hungarian citizens .

By the way, the Prime Minister reacted on his social media yesterday to the statement of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Thursday, according to which Hungary should withdraw the law and kneel down. Quoting Viktor Orbán's previous statement, he stated: " A Hungarian person kneels before God, he kneels before his country, and when he asks for the hand of his love." The prime minister demanded more respect for the Hungarians.
