The European Union's immigration policy threatens Christian culture and lifestyle, said the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations in a video posted on the Hungarian government's Facebook page.
"The immigration policy followed by many countries in Europe, mostly left-wing governments, has serious consequences, as it threatens the Christian culture and way of life we live here in Europe," said Miklós Soltész. This immigration policy is causing enormous damage to Christian communities around the world.
Currently, Christians are the most persecuted community in the world, the persecution affects more than 340 million people, he added.
Hungary has a clear answer to migration: people and nations in trouble must be helped, but the help must be delivered locally. Through the Hungary Helps Program, the Hungarian cabinet helped hundreds of thousands of people to stay in the country by renovating or building churches, buildings, hospitals, schools, and social institutions.
