A former riding school in Zugló can still be built on Mocsárosdűlő, even though left-wing politicians have repeatedly claimed that there will be no construction. - can be read in Magyar Hírlap.

Gergely Karácsony found the loophole so that construction could begin on Mocsárosdűlő. Mocsárosdűlő would have been one of the areas of the commission-based left-wing real estate tycoon. In January, Anonymous made public a recording in which Barts J. Balázs, the president and CEO of Budapest Capital Management Center Zrt., spoke about the ideas surrounding Mocsárosdűlő, the Metropol article pointed out.

In addition, on December 20 last year, III. the district representative body - at the suggestion of the Civic Faction - reclassified 70 percent of the area of Mocsárosdűlő as a natural area, however, 268,000 square meters were still suitable for development.

It seemed that a residential park was being planned for the area, to which DK mayor László Kiss reportedly gave a nod. Due to the indignation of the population, they finally withdrew from the plan, and the mayor even promised that Mocsárosdűlő will not be built in to any extent. On March 23, machines suddenly started working in the area. The Mediaworks news center found out that they started building an equestrian center with the knowledge of the capital. The mayor gave a 2.5-hectare section without tender to a foundation from Zugló called Zabszalma, who will operate a riding stable here.

According to information, no utility services are available, so mobile infrastructure and container buildings can be installed in the area. They would house the horses, the changing rooms, the washrooms, and even the offices.

"The Aranypatkó equestrian center has been operating for decades, a few hundred meters from the site, in a non-nature conservation area, we don't know why there is a need for another one," Balázs Bús pointed out for Magyar Nemzet. The former mayor also reminded that since 2018, even under his leadership, he had ordered and the current municipal leadership left the declaration of Mocsárosdűlő as a protected area.
