If the elected leader of our country deems the Peace March important in a statement, there can be no doubt that his sympathizers should go to the event, writes Dr. Csizmadia László, president of CÖF-CÖKA, in Magyar Hírlap.
We can do this now in peace, since in Hungary the democratic and rule-of-law laws and their present-day servants ensure freedom of speech and opinion at all times (this was not the case in the fall of 2006).
Our national holiday is obligatory, since on March 15 we can remember our revolution of 1848, our heroes and martyrs. We can draw strength from the sacrificed lives, because they lived and died for freedom.
Indeed, "together we are strength, everywhere is weakness". In Hungary, in addition to the plurality of parties, no one can question the socio-political activities of civil citizens and their communities related to the principle of popular sovereignty. This is confirmed by the Peace March, which became an important factor in 2022 and is already ten years old.
In the organization of CÖF–CÖKA, we raised the importance of spiritual national defense together. Peacefully walking, calm citizens with smiling faces are demonstrating in a unique way in Europe. Each time, taking current events into account, they formulate a message for the European Union and Hungarians.
Before the parliamentary elections, the corrupters of the past and the squanders of our treasury, after three two-thirds Fidesz-KDNP victories, are once again cutting their teeth on the wealth of our country, which is getting richer. They receive support from EU bureaucrats paid by Soros, from the social liberal EU parliamentary majority, who are not only unconditional supporters of economic globalization, but also dreamers of the United States of Europe. Their goal is to take direct control of sovereign nations. Their ideas are being tested in Hungary and Poland.
The philosophy of an open society is alien to European citizens, so they try to force this sick idealism down our throats without asking them. The principle of the sovereignty of the people is increasingly receding into the background, civil initiatives are lost in the bureaucracies of bureaucrats. People's questions of destiny are not called for referendums, they are not asked at popular consultations.
On the basis of these facts, the practice alien to life must be put to an end, and the consultation materials prepared on the future of the union must be devoted to the implementation of its reform.
The Prime Minister, along with the majority of Hungarians, is well aware that the EU has put our country under political and economic pressure. External interventions are increasing, with which they intend to influence the elections in Hungary against the will of the people. What they do is 'friendly fire' towards their ally.
The alliance of the Gyurcsányist opposition parties is kept on ventilators by foreign money and the media at its service.
In the 2019 municipal elections, the opposition parties that came to power are still sitting on the cake from taxpayers' money. Budapest is not being built, in addition to the traffic chaos, the failure and delay of investments, the loss of properties built with taxpayers' money has also begun. The DK-led party house was formed from the City Hall, expertise was lost, and livelihood politicians gained ground. The mutty-imperial view came out. The majority of Budapest residents are disappointed, regardless of party affiliation. The capital belongs to the nation as a whole. Nor can rural people passively watch Gergely Karácsony do nothing, reduce services, and at the same time lay off people. His criminal record is long, which was compounded by the intention to sell the City Hall.
The organizers of the Peace March feel that it is the turn of the capital's residents. The Metropolitan Municipality must be put in the hands of professional management. Christmas, as it came, leave on a bicycle.
The CÖF–CÖKA invites all those who clearly see that the people of the Demszky era are rising as ghosts to the Peace March.
Let's get ready for the Peace March on March 15! Rural people, come by bus, train, car, as many as possible! Citizens of the capital, wake up, come out into the streets, let's greet the rural people with a hundred thousand more, let's show that now twice as many know that "you can't trust cabbage to a goat". Borrowing from Attila József, let us signal to the European Union: "Be careful who is a bear on a chain", we Hungarians have decided to go forward, not back.
