Those who know my writings, and especially those who know me personally, know how much I care about Hungarian culture and Hungarian interests. And since I have been living in Germany for more than 35 years, no matter how contradictory it may seem, this feeling has become even more pronounced in me.

I had two goals in life: one, to pursue my medical profession as an honest person, doing everything for my patients, and the other - which has become increasingly prominent since I have been living abroad - to increase the good reputation of my people and promote their culture.

These two often prevailed in parallel, because when one of my patients talked about me in company, he did not say that I had a doctor named Gábor Túri, but that I had a Hungarian doctor who said this and that, or did this and that .

In other words, if I gave the injection well, they said that this Hungarian doctor gives injections well. If I made the diagnosis correctly, then that this Hungarian doctor is a good diagnostician.

I believe that with my actions I am responsible not only for myself, but also for my nation. Of course, this does not only apply to me, but also to all Hungarians conscientiously working abroad. This is how our Hungarianness becomes the trademark of our actions, and the reverse is also true: our actions become the trademark of Hungarianness.

It is like a flag that we always carry before us. And this is where I got to the point that actually made me pick up the pen. A few days ago, a program from about 10 years ago was repeated on television (the broadcast of the German Phönix station, 13.11.2011), during which they broadcast more than an hour long program about the activities of the far left and far right in Germany. Among other things, we could see frightening images of young people with shaved skulls, brain tattoos, wearing black uniforms, black flags, swastikas and other symbols marching through the streets.

The recordings made by police security specialists were made in Bavaria and in the Magdeburg area of the former GDR. A large number of participants in these marches, while waving German and black flags, shouted their slogans in aggressive voices and in extremely harsh, hoarse voices.

And in order to prevent the police from interfering, there was no violence or rioting at the parades, only frightening slogans were uttered in a primitive voice. Their tattoos were partially covered with adhesive tapes so that they could not be seen in the photos, and the police could not use them as incriminating evidence due to the later use of prohibited symbols.

Honestly, I don't want to neo-liberal phrases here, or repeat boring opinions that can be read in the newspapers, because they come out at my elbow in the same way as many other topics in politics... But what I saw here shocked me! And while I sat paralyzed in front of the device, suddenly, almost like a lightning strike, the following series of images came to my consciousness, and I didn't want to believe my eyes: in this frighteningly rushing crowd, among the black swastika and German flags, Hungarian flags also appeared, among them the Hungarian with a coat of arms and on them the Holy Crown of the Hungarians. Then, a little further away, our flags with sable stripes.

What is going on here? I asked myself. I emphasize, this was all a repeat of a show from a good 10 years ago, but still…

What are our national symbols, which for me and the majority of Hungarians have a sacred meaning, doing here?

Do those who put Hungarian flags in this crowd know that those with whom they are marching set their houses on fire against the Turks, and they all burned inside? Fathers, mothers, children… all! Do these young Hungarians even understand what the people standing next to them shout with hoarse organs? Do they know that they really all foreigners and only support their own nation? Because they put themselves above everything and everyone!

I repeat, I do not wish to engage in political statements, as the film itself serves to deter, consciously. In the same way, I don't want to discuss aggressive terror, judge it pro or con, because that is not the purpose of my writing.

At this moment, I'm only interested in what the Hungarian flags were doing there! And what was the Hungarian Holy Crown doing there?!

We Hungarians have never, ever been a brutally aggressive people. So why do we want to become one now? What do we want to prove with this? Why do we stand in line among those who later push us out anyway? Why are we humiliating our nation by letting our national flag fly where any sane person could just spit on it?

What is even more surprising is that what these NPD youths cannot do in Germany - they cannot shout anything or wear certain symbols - they could do in Hungary. According to the recordings made there, waving an arm, Heil Hitler! shouted the hundreds of Germans coming to our country, and from their full throats. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it!

What is going on here? Who or who called them? How could Hungary afford this? After all, with this he draws a well-defined target on his own chest. And lo and behold, all of this is being recalled before the Hungarian elections in April. They know when to conjure a rabbit out of a hat!

It's just that the German viewers are not told that the Hungarian recordings of the 2011 film showing these incriminating scenes were recorded during the very liberal Gyurcsány government!

Well, they don't care! The EU members are only interested in one thing and waiting for one thing, namely when they can finally shoot at Hungary. Because this neoliberal Europe does not need a national state, an Orbán government.

However, the question remains: in the heart of Central Europe, why does a country with such a historical past and culture as Hungary allow itself to be provoked by a few infatuated young people? Because there should be no doubt, these recordings will make the rounds in the world press, and the developed West will point the finger at everything that is or is Hungarian. I don't know the answer to why, but all I can do is shout it out to the world at the top of my lungs:

We Hungarians are not like that!

Because as the philosopher and university professor Sándor Karácsony said:

... being "Hungarian" is not a matter of race or blood, but of the soul. It was not the blood that formed the Hungarian soul and thus created the Hungarian race, but on the contrary, the Hungarian soul influenced the blood, and now and at all times the Hungarian race is the one that has been permeated by the Hungarian soul. Everyone is Hungarian to the extent that the power of the Hungarian spirit lives and works through them...
