A community of interests was created between the postmodern left and political Islam, but from a historical perspective, this cooperation can only be short-term. Why?

For almost two centuries, the left has been fighting to eliminate European culture and to purge Christianity (including religiosity, in general) from public life - even though it has been an integral part of Europe since the 4th century. And Islam wants to expand and needs political representation in the territories to be occupied. Moreover, Islam wants to supplant all other religions - including atheism. The secular state is specifically their enemy. The two systems of views therefore pose a mutual threat to each other in the long term.

How did the strategic alliance come about?

The explanation lies in the crisis of the left: the situation of workers in Europe improved significantly during the 20th century. Representation of interests was strengthened, paternalistic social states were created. However, the industrial society was transformed into an information society, and the proletariat decreased in number - and with it its political weight. As a result, the classic left was left without a topic and therefore had to look for a new agenda, thus immigrants became a political target group for them (among others).

On the other hand, the formula looks like Islam wants to conquer Europe again. To do this, they must gain a numerical advantage - this process also takes place spontaneously, but they are also known to be working on it. Islam needs to find political allies to achieve its goals, and it cannot be any other than the left, which needs voters."
