Although the first means of protection against covid is vaccination, there are therapies that seem to work with great efficiency in the prevention and treatment of the disease.

Neurosurgeon András Csókay urges a scientific investigation of such a Hungarian-made therapeutic device. Noémi Konopás talked to him and to the manufacturer of the device, electrical engineer Tamás Szentmarjai.

"First of all, it must be stated that

the first line of defense is vaccination.

Vaccination is the greatest invention of medical science so far, that is indisputable. Vaccines have produced fantastic things in the past three hundred years: they have wiped out epidemics from the face of the Earth," neurosurgeon András Csókay points out to Mandiner. In addition to vaccinations, however, medical science also uses so-called adjuvant, i.e. additional, therapies: such as fever relief or taking vitamins. And so can ozone therapy.

Ozone has a very high virucidal, bacterial and fungicidal effect, and has been used for disinfection in hospitals, the food industry and many other places for quite some time. During the covid epidemic, it once again came under the scrutiny of scientific studies worldwide,

numerous scientific articles confirm its effectiveness against the disease that has been raging for two years.

Not a single ozone-emitting device is still on the market today, but these emit ozone in amounts harmful to human health - above 0.1 PPM percent - so you should not be in the same airspace with the device in operation.

However, there is already a device in Hungary whose ozone emission does not exceed the amount designated by the FDA. The structure was developed and manufactured by electrical engineer Tamás Szentmarjai. "Tamás is a fantastic polymath, he also made the key structures used to separate the Siamese twins," praises Csókay. Szentmarjai caught the covid at the beginning of the epidemic, the course of the disease was just starting to get more serious, when she remembered that ozone helped not only her hay fever, but also her colds. He came to this observation when he worked for years in a laboratory under constant but reduced UV light in ozone-rich air. During this time, he had no respiratory problems, not even the flu, and when he changed jobs, the cold and the constant hay fever returned. This experience of catching covid spurred him to produce an ozone-emitting device.

"The sickness due to fever and covid lasted for two or three days, after which I treated myself with ozone,

and then my family, from my children to my grandchildren," he says.

After recovering from the disease, Tamás recommended the device in several places. It has been used in the Platán Elderly Home in Üröm ever since, and they even ordered two more machines so that they could be installed in the dining room as well. According to Tamás, there was not a single covid in the home. The structure sucks in the air from the side, the ultraviolet radiation is received inside the box, so it does not cause eye damage. The UV radiation between 100 and 300 nanometers inside the box "disintegrates" the RNA and DNA of the viruses, thereby rendering the pathogens unable to reproduce. So many orders have already been received that Szentmarjai and his son are unable to produce them, for now they are in small batches, at the beginning of serial production. He manufactures the laser-cut plates separately, and it takes two weeks to receive the part. Last time he couldn't get a fuse, but that has already been resolved. As he says, there are a lot of orders, there is a lot to do.

"This therapy is also good against Covid, colds and flu, so I would like to organize a scientific study on ozone therapy," declares Csókay. He would like to place such a low-concentration ozone generator in the covid and intensive care units. As he says, many positive medical experiences have been gathered in connection with the constant use of the device. With your request

he contacted the scientific ethics committees of several hospitals.

Licensing is not a simple process, as he says, it is difficult to break through the rigid wall of ethics committees, which is otherwise completely logically constructed. According to him, the committee should decide on the authorization taking into account the basic medical principles of "everything for the benefit of the patients" and "nil nocere", i.e. "do no harm". As he says, it is understandable that science does not support all kinds of fanciful ideas - but the ozone emitter is not like that, since it is guaranteed to do no harm.
