The interview was published on Origo.hu, in which the portal asked, among other things, the significance of the planned child protection referendum. Zoltán Lomnici, constitutional lawyer, spokesperson of the Civil Solidarity Forum, director of Századvegjógi. We quote some details of the conversation.

In 2022, the Hungarian voters will be able to give the government a means to defend the national interest on the international stage in a referendum. Brussels cannot ignore the outcome of a valid and effective referendum as the most important means of exercising direct democracy, said Zoltán Lomnici Jr. He also added that what is at stake in the child protection referendum to be held on April 3 is the direction of the intellectual and spiritual development of our children...

- The conference presenting the results of the Europe Project research of the Századvég Foundation was recently held. You talked there about the fact that in the Netherlands they keep track of who is transgender and keep a record of it. What can be known about this, and do you think it could ever happen in Hungary?

- Although the politicians of the BENELUX states ( Judith Sargentini, Jean-Claude Juncker ) like to criticize the rule of law implemented in the Central European countries, as well as the deficit that - according to their opinion - characterizes it, the reality shows that it is exposed to much more serious trials in the former states democracy, as in the V4 countries. A really good example of this is that keeping records of citizens' sexual orientation contradicts the requirement of the rule of law, as it is classified as special personal data based on Article 9 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR), therefore, its handling is prohibited, apart from specific exceptions. In Hungary, as long as a bourgeois-conservative government is in office, this cannot happen.

The listing of citizens according to irrelevant or sensitive aspects has become a left-wing genre, this is also done by the candidate for prime minister of the left-wing opposition, who otherwise repeatedly mentions the listing of members of the Jewish and gay communities.

At the same time, Hungarians remember the dark eras when their compatriots were put on certain lists because of their political or religious beliefs, and they do not ask for such systems again.

- In the Netherlands, children's sexual education starts at the age of four and is taught in different ways for all age groups. They also openly talk to students about gender identity and homosexuality in the classes. Why do you think it is dangerous for young children to learn early on that it is "perfectly natural for two men or two women to love each other"?

– As Emőke Bagdy explained, young children should be socialized to ambiguities and not deviations. Early sensitization carries the risk that the child will not receive the so-called key stimuli that would help him identify with the same social gender as his biological sex. As a result, the future of the traditional family model may be endangered, which may result in further population decline.

Those who carry out such "educational" activities go against the Basic Law of Hungary and the will of the clear majority behind it, according to which every child has the right to the protection and care necessary for proper physical, mental and moral development. Hungary protects children's right to self-identity according to their birth sex, and ensures education in accordance with values based on our country's constitutional self-identity and Christian culture [Basic. XVI. Article (2) para.]. CXC of 2011 on national public education. according to the law, the goal is "to create a public education system that promotes the harmonious spiritual, physical and intellectual development of children and young people" [...] the education of their education in accordance with their age characteristics. This provision of the Basic Law must be paid particular attention to during classes on sexual culture, sexual life, sexual orientation, and sexual development for students. These sessions cannot be aimed at promoting deviation from the self-identity corresponding to the birth sex, gender change, and homosexuality...

... - The new president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, is a consistent supporter of the gender and LGBTQ lobby and illegal migration. Already in 2013, he proposed an EU action plan regarding gender issues, and recently he also raised his voice against the Polish LGBTQ zones, demanding the withdrawal of EU funds from the affected regions. What do you think about this? What can we expect from Metsola's attitude?

- Roberta Metsola is a reliable follower of the open society ideology in the European Parliament, her name appears in the document Reliableallies in the European Parliament (2014 - 2019) prepared for the Open Society European Policy Institute, which is linked to the stock market speculator. Based on all of this, we can reasonably assume that Ms. Metsola will be the (new) vanguard of the attacks in Brussels against the nation-minded, bourgeois-conservative governments.

- The Hungarian government is often attacked because it stands up for the protection of children and families. Why do you think the child protection referendum to be held on April 3 is unique?

The child protection referendum is a unique initiative because it aims to fully protect and enforce two constitutional rights in parallel. The Basic Law is clear when it states that parents have the right to choose their child's upbringing, and children have the right to the protection and care necessary for their proper physical, mental and moral development. What is unique on the continent is that the population can express their opinion on who and how to educate the future generation in the framework of a referendum and the direct exercise of power...

...- How do you see it as a constitutional lawyer: how much should we fear that the Hungarian government will come under fire not only because of the child protection referendum, but also because of the parliamentary election, until the April elections? What is at stake in elections and referendums? Why should as many people as possible participate in it?

- For the civil-national government, guaranteeing the safety of the Hungarian people, maintaining the measures taken in the interest of Hungarian families, and effectively asserting the Hungarian interest are of prime importance. The united opposition, on the other hand, put international commitment on its banner, thereby fully meeting the guiding expectations of the Western mainstream. In the referendum ahead of us, the direction of the mental and spiritual development of our children and the future generation is at stake, and those who also think so must make their voice heard on April 3...
