The outgoing employees of the National Rescue Service (OMSZ) will receive new work clothes worth two and a half billion forints, the Minister of Human Resources announced on Tuesday in Budapest.
Miklós Kásler said at the press conference that the purchase represents 84,925 items of clothing, including both winter and summer clothing. The preliminary needs of the employees were taken into account during the production of the new work clothes of the ambulance service - lined jacket, coat, trousers, long and short-sleeved T-shirts, waist belt, knee protectors.
He also announced that the development of the OMSZ is complex: in 2017, ambulances received modern work clothes worth HUF 1.1 billion, from 2018, 21 ambulance stations were renovated and new ones were built, 995 ambulances were replaced between 2010 and 2020, and 2019- 2.044 billion forints, the government ensured the purchase of high-value rescue equipment and instruments for the rescue service.
