The Government is implementing the largest ever wage increase in the healthcare sector. It is a great pleasure for me that this epoch-making wage increase took place during my ministry - said Miklós Kásler in the latest episode of Életközelben, in which, in addition to the wage increases, he spoke about the current epidemic situation, the importance of vaccinations, and also reacted to the attacks of the left.
The infection rate was extremely high in several Western European countries. The head of the ministry cited Israel as an example, where a high vaccination rate was achieved for the first time, yet the number of infected people is in the tens of thousands per day. Vaccination was achieved a relatively long time ago and the certain 4-6 months have passed until the immunity after the last vaccination is definitely reduced. It seems that they can make up for this with the fourth vaccination.
"I initiated two very prepared, highly qualified research groups. One examines the immunological conditions over time for all 5 vaccines. We can say this after 2 vaccinations, and we can say it after the third vaccination as well, because enough time has passed for the data to be interpreted and evaluated."
The chance of infection is 52 percent more favorable among those who have been vaccinated twice compared to the unvaccinated or those who have not been exposed to the disease. Among those vaccinated three times, the situation is 80 percent more favorable.
If we look at the risk of being hospitalized, compared to the unvaccinated, those who have been vaccinated twice - of course within the specified 4 months - are in a 68 percent better position, and those who have been vaccinated three times are in a more favorable position by 87 percent. If we look at the same numbers for those who died due to the coronavirus, compared to the unvaccinated, those who have been vaccinated twice are 80 percent less likely to die, and those who have been vaccinated three times are in a 93 percent better position.
It is a great pleasure for me that this epoch-making wage increase took place during my ministry - Miklós Kásler said that the increased wages for healthcare workers will arrive in February.
At the end of the conversation, "Every child should learn to swim!" was launched as a sub-programme of the Úszó Nemzet Program. In relation to the program, he emphasized that sport plays an extremely important role in the prevention of cancer and diseases, which is why it was announced at the beginning of his ministerial career that everyone should exercise from kindergarten until the end of their lives.
