On the occasion of the national holiday on March 15, the Rákóczi Association announces a travel opportunity for high school students from the Carpathian Basin.
Since 1994, the aim of the program has been for Hungarian high school students living in the countries of the Carpathian Basin to commemorate the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49 together, and in connection with this to create as many personal connections as possible between students, teachers and schools.
According to the organization's announcement sent to MTI, any Hungarian secondary school in the Carpathian Basin can apply for the tender.
With the invitation, in accordance with tradition, they create an opportunity for the traveling high school group to cross at least one border in the Carpathian Basin and organize a joint program with another school related to the national holiday.
At the same time, you can also apply for the organization of a domestic field trip, on the condition that during the trip, the groups visit a memorial site that is closely related to the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49 as part of an unusual history lesson.
HUF 300,000 can be won in the travel competition, depending on the number of travelers and the distance traveled.
Deadline for receipt of online application forms: February 21, 2022.
