...In 2010, the Slovak legislature adopted a law according to which a person who acquires another nationality automatically loses his Slovak citizenship. The law did not provide legal remedies to those concerned. Zoltán Lomnici Sr. reminded him that the competent committee of the European Parliament notified him on July 11, 2019, after several years of legal struggle, that the procedure he had initiated had led to a result. Pursuant to this, the European Commission called on Slovakia to determine how it intends to amend legislation that is contrary to EU law.
