The mission of church universities in the 21st century. in the 20th century, to block the progressive appropriation of science, especially the social sciences, said Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, at the inauguration of the new rector of the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, on Saturday in Budapest.

Gergely Gulyás emphasized at the ceremony held in the Reformed Church in the Buda Mountains: disputing the laws of creation and the most basic biological facts is not a scientific achievement, just as quoting from the Bible is not a crime in European civilization.

Quotas, taboos, and political correctness do not help, but rather limit the success of science. The task of higher education institutions is to protect or create the framework of "free but not rootless thinking", the head of the ministry believed.

Gergely Gulyás said that he is sure that with the rectorship of László Trócsányi, a new era will begin in the life of the Károli Gáspár Reformed University. An era where "no compromises are made in terms of human quality and scientific standards".
