Those families that use the tax refund in their tax return will receive the amount within two weeks instead of 30 days after submission, Mihály Varga announced in a video published on his social media page.
The Minister of Finance indicated that this mainly affects individual entrepreneurs, primary producers and those who failed to submit their declaration by the deadline.
Parents raising children have already received more than HUF 610 billion with the family tax refund, Mihály Varga noted, adding that this amount can increase by several tens of billion HUF with refunds validated in tax returns.
According to the head of the ministry, the strengthening of families is made possible by the performance of the Hungarian economy, the fact that last year was the largest economic growth in the past 30 years. This is also the first in the EU ranking, and the Hungarian government expects an expansion of well over 5 percent this year as well.
