MZP would even send soldiers to Ukraine, while organizing a demonstration - the opposition is again using a crisis for party political purposes.
Just as during the coronavirus, with the anti-vaccines in the East, the dictatorship (Orbán blew the elections and cemented his power, referring to the pandemic) and the assassination of the government, the Hungarian left immediately subordinated the interpretation of the situation to its domestic political goals in connection with the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. They just couldn't stand it. They wake up and go to bed with Orbán, this psychosis makes the opposition forces, which are currently gathering in a six-party grouping, almost incapable of interpreting reality through a national lens.
First of all, there is Prime Minister candidate Péter Márki-Zay, who, of course, does not go to the neighbor for a few scandalous sentences, but now he has stepped up, as the stakes are higher than ever before. And no one puts a lock on his mouth! That's how it happened
he already stated a few days ago that he would even send weapons and soldiers to Ukraine.
Then MZP gave him a shovel when, on the morning of the Russian attack, reading from his "famous" blue book, he declared quasi-war to Orbán and Putin in an energized voice. What's more, he already wrote on his social media page that Orbán didn't actually go to Russia for a peace mission a few weeks ago, but instead was preparing for war with Putin. And yet, if party politics should ever be put aside, it might just be this day. But it still doesn't work for the opposition.
Let's be clear:
what is happening now is the competition and strife of the great powers! It's not about us.
History has bitterly taught us the truth that it is in Hungary's basic interest to stay out of such conflicts. Since we are cooperating members of NATO, let's add to that: while you can. But while we can, let's do it! In addition, we would not have the right to cross the Ukrainian border with soldiers, since Ukraine, although we must undertake solidarity with it and stand up for the territorial integrity of our northern neighbor, is not a member of our federal system. This is also not an incidental circumstance.
Returning to the left and MZP: to organize a demonstration in front of the Russian embassy with domestic political overtones and for selfish political interests borders on meanness. Instead, the responsible behavior is now primarily to help the Transcarpathian Hungarians and not to participate in further escalation! Once again: this is basically not our struggle, anyone who wants to drag us into a war, especially for political gain, is now flirting with treason. Again, the left played a role out of responsibility and patriotism.
