Seven national party lists were announced at the National Election Commission by the Saturday afternoon deadline of four o'clock, in addition, the national governments of all nationalities prepared a list for the parliamentary election, with the exception of the Roma.
The NVB had previously registered the national list of Mi Hazánk Mozgalom, six more parties or party associations submitted their national lists by Saturday's deadline. The DK-Jobbik-Momentum-MSZP-LMP-Párbeszéd submitted its list on Friday, and on Saturday the Fidesz-KDNP, the Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party, the Solution Movement, the Normal Life Party and IMA - Our Party.
It is conceivable that the number of party lists will be less if, during the verification of recommendations, it turns out that an organization does not have the 71 individual candidates required to set up a list in the capital and 14 counties.
Four years ago, 40 party lists were announced, but in the end only 23 appeared on the ballot. At that time, all nationalities municipalities were also able to prepare a list, but this year the General Assembly of the National Roma Municipality could not agree on the candidates by the deadline of January 31st, so the municipality could not prepare a list of nationalities for the parliamentary election on April 3rd.
