Together with the Hungarian Red Cross, Auchan is launching a collection for Ukrainian refugees.

The Hungarian Red Cross helps refugees from Ukraine and those who remain in Transcarpathia with extensive humanitarian work. The organization focused its presence on Záhony and Lónya, but also participated in the reception, feeding, information and accommodation of refugees at the Beregsurány and Tiszabec border crossings, as well as at the Nyugati railway station in Budapest. In addition, multi-ton aid shipments are taken across the border to the Subcarpathian County Organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross to provide care for those who remain there. Auchan Hungary supports this work in three ways: financially, with volunteer work and by organizing a collection, which customers can join in several ways. From March 9, online pharmacies can purchase two types of donation packages for the Hungarian Red Cross, which the organization distributes directly to those in need.

From today, customers with a Loyalty Card can offer their Loyalty Points received after their purchases to the organization, who can use them to buy the products that are most needed in the rapidly changing crisis situation.

This weekend (between March 11 and 13) a store collection is also organized in the Auchan hypermarket. The Hungarian Red Cross ensures that the donations collected at the collection points are delivered to their destination, and the store collection is carried out by volunteer employees of Auchan Hungary.
