Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the importance of how we decide on April 3 multiplies, European Parliament member Balázs Hidvéghi (Fidesz) emphasized at a public forum in Balassagyarmat on Saturday.
the Mihály Balla , Fidesz MP from West Nógrád, Balázs Hidvéghi explained: the "terrible military conflict" already provides many lessons, the end of which is not in sight, nor the consequences, and a lot depends on "being able to to maintain calmness and restraint".
In such a situation, there is a great temptation to make hasty decisions, to make hasty statements, and we see this from the left, he said. – If you needed another proof of why they shouldn't be allowed to govern this country, then this is another illustration of that.
The politician criticized that Péter Márki-Zay , the opposition's candidate for prime minister, "fantasizes about sending soldiers".
He emphasized that there is a great need "to remain calm, to be led by a leader who has tried it, who holds the government with a firm hand, and for whom the most important thing is to preserve the peace and security of Hungary".
The EP member added: right next to that, there is the fact that we help all refugees (who are not economic immigrants), regardless of whether they are Hungarians from Transcarpathia, Ruthenians, Ukrainians, or any other Balázs Hidvéghi also talked about the fact that he has been in government for 12 years Viktor Orbán, and the period is characterized by continuous growth, strengthening and expansion. As he said, many people take this for granted and forget that it was not always like this, pointing out that before 2010 the national debt became higher and higher, foreign currency lending spread, taxes were high, and "the country weakened in all aspects".
He called the years after the 2010 election a period of renewal and a fresh start, when the most urgent thing was to put the economy in order.
