In his appeal, Finance Minister Mihály Varga responded to the opposition's demands that appeared in recent days.
Dear Compatriot!
I am writing to you because the left wing led by Gyurcsány and Márki-Zay demands that we close the Russian gas tap. This is dangerous and irresponsible behavior, because most of our country's energy supply is provided by Russia. This proposal would jeopardize the utility reduction and significantly increase the burden on families.
Ferenc Gyurcsány and Péter Márki-Zay would make the Hungarian people pay the price of the war. We must not let this happen! We will also decide on this in the parliamentary elections. We must do everything in order to preserve Hungary's peace and the security of its energy supply.
Let's all be there on April 3 and vote for the Fidesz-KDNP candidate and list!
