Yesterday, Finance Minister Mihály Varga presented the 2022 budget bill to János Latorcai, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, in the parliament.

The minister said that due to the epidemic, the most important element of the draft budget for 2022 is the restart of the economy, and it also preserves the government's previous values. Thus, the protection of families, the support of those raising children, and the respect of the elderly are given a special role in the draft budget.

He highlighted: in the 2022 budget bill, the government expects dynamic economic growth of 5.2 percent, with a deficit target of 5.9 percent in relation to GDP and a public debt of 79.3 percent.
The proposal meets six goals, these are: restarting the economy, supporting families, rebuilding the 13th monthly pension, tax exemption for young people under 25, further reducing employers' tax burdens and providing the necessary resources for job creation and investment support, said the finance minister.
