The Hungarian government does not have a dispute with Volodymyr Zelenskyi, but with the Hungarian left, who made it clear that they would fulfill all the demands of the Ukrainian president, thereby plunging our country into war, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday.

On his social media page on Saturday, the head of Hungarian diplomacy wrote about Zelenskyi: he is the president of Ukraine, it is natural that the interests of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people come first for him.

"There is nothing more important to us" than the safety of Hungary and the Hungarian people, he continued. "That is why we will not implement your demands: we will not send weapons, we will not allow weapons shipments to pass through the territory of our country, and we will not stop the delivery of energy carriers to Hungary," he said.

"We have a dispute with the Hungarian left," whose leaders made it clear: "they would implement all of President Zelenskiy's demands, thereby bringing Hungary into the war, and the Hungarian people would pay the price," he wrote.

So the stakes are clear on April 3:

"the right wing that guarantees peace and security or the left wing that immediately plunges the country into war!?" Péter Szijjártó concluded his post.

In the video published on Facebook, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also talked about how the leaders of the left-wing opposition made it clear in the past day and a half that they would fulfill all the demands of the Ukrainian president, stop the energy deliveries from Russia to Hungary, thereby endangering the security of the energy supply and risking a huge price increase.

In addition, they would also deliver weapons to Ukraine and allow weapons to be transported through Hungary. "This is extremely dangerous," declared Péter Szijjártó, adding that the arms shipments would immediately drag Hungary into the war.

"This must be prevented," stated the foreign minister, according to whom the choice on April 3 is clear: those who want peace and security will vote for Fidesz. Whoever votes for the left risks Hungary drifting into war, said Péter Szijjártó.

Máté Kocsis, Fidesz faction leader, also posted on the topic on his Facebook page. The politician from the ruling party recalled that Gyurcsány and Márki-Zay clearly stated that they would fulfill all the demands of the Ukrainian president regarding the delivery of weapons and the cessation of Russian gas, thereby bringing Hungary into the war. On the other hand, the government is on the side of the Hungarian people, and the Hungarian interest is for our country to stay out of this conflict - emphasized Máté Kocsis.

Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, also published a post on his social media page in which he emphasized the same thoughts.
