On Thursday, 5,728 people entered the territory of Hungary at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border section, while 4,620 of those who entered the Romanian-Hungarian border section declared that they came from Ukraine, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced on Friday.
Among those admitted, the police issued temporary residence certificates to 1,599 people, which are valid for 30 days. Those concerned must visit the office of the National Directorate General of Immigration in order to obtain the final documents within the available time, the ORFK announced.
ON THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE UKRAINE WAR, 1,717 PEOPLE, AMONG THEM 808 CHILDREN, ARRIVED IN BUDAPEST BY TRAIN.
Refugees arriving by special trains to the Kőbánya-felső railway station were taken to the BOK hall by buses, they wrote.
They added: the accommodation and transportation of 96 people, including 56 children, in the accommodation facilities in the capital and in the countryside was solved by the cooperating authorities.
