"The Hungarian people support you because it makes them aware that you always put Hungarian interests first, and serving your country is your mission," Czech President Milos Zeman wrote in his congratulatory telegram to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Monday.

The Czech head of state emphasized that Czech-Hungarian relations are excellent, and cooperation in the European Union and NATO is developing well.

According to him, the V4 cooperation should be treated as a priority. "I am convinced that Central Europe has great potential both in terms of mutual and international cooperation," stated Milos Zeman, and he expressed his hope that he will be able to meet with Viktor Orbán before the end of his mandate, which expires next March.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his election victory in a letter,

then, speaking to the CTK news agency, he said: "Europe must stand united for Ukraine, on whose territory Russia commits war crimes." Fiala explained that he trusts that after the parliamentary elections, Hungary will become more actively involved in solving the situation caused by Russia's war against Ukraine.

Ivan Bartos, deputy head of government, minister of regional development, and president of the Pirate Party, criticized Viktor Orbán in his post on Twitter because, according to him, he based his campaign on not offending the Kremlin, as well as spreading Russian propaganda against the Ukrainian leadership.

According to Markéta Pekarová Adamová, the president of the Czech House of Representatives and the TOP 09 party, as one of the consequences of the Hungarian elections, cooperation in Visegrad should be curtailed at least for a while.

Former Prime Minister Andrej Babis, on the other hand, stated: Viktor Orbán proved that he is one of the most experienced politicians in the European Union.
