We are introducing the European Parliament's asset declaration system in Hungary, which is essentially the same as the German rules Máté Kocsis announced .

As a justification, the leader of the Fidesz faction highlighted: the Hungarian asset declaration system has been subject to many criticisms for many years and decades, so regardless of whether these are well-founded or not, it is worth changing.

The Brussels double standard towards Hungary is unfortunately a part of our everyday life, so it seems the best way to prevent it is to incorporate the rules used in the EP word for word into Hungarian law. The same system is used, for example, in Germany, so perhaps international disputes can be avoided, at least in this area.

The proposal that has just been submitted applies to members of parliament and those who declare their assets under the applicable law, but the same rules will be created this year for all other persons subject to the obligation to declare assets listed in separate sectoral legislation (e.g. mayors and local government representatives) - this so right.
