The mandates to be allocated in the individual constituencies will be announced on April 9 at the latest, and the national results of the election will be announced on April 22 at the latest

The founding session of the Parliament is convened by the head of state within thirty days of the election, so the new parliament must be established by May 3 at the latest, said Magyar Hírlap, Jr. Zoltán Lomnici is a constitutional lawyer.

After counting the votes, the vote-counting committee determines the polling district result of the election, and the election committee determines the result of the election with a decision. Votes cast by mail by voters without a Hungarian address are counted by the National Electoral Office (NVI) under the supervision of the National Election Commission (NVB). The individual electoral district election committee determines the result of the individual election no later than the sixth day after the voting, and the regional election committee, also with a six-day deadline, determines the territorial partial result of the national list election.

The NVB determines the national list result of the election no later than on the nineteenth day after the vote, based on the minutes issued on the territorial partial results of the national list election, the minutes establishing the results of mail-in voting, and the minutes issued on the results of the individual constituencies of the election. This means that the official results of the mandates allocated in the individual constituencies will be announced on April 9 at the latest, and the national results of the election on April 22 at the latest, explained Mr. Zoltán Lomnici is a constitutional lawyer. He noted that the NVB will publish its announcement on the election results in the Magyar Közlöny after the election results become legally binding.

An objection for legal redress may be submitted by the voter, candidate, or nominating organization listed in the central register, as well as by the natural and legal person involved in the case, as well as by an organization without legal personality, referring to the violation of the law governing the election or the basic principles of the election and the election procedure. Objections can also be submitted against the activities and decisions of the vote counting committee.

After the elections, the President of the Republic convenes the leaders of the parliamentary parties to discuss the preparations for the inaugural session. At the end of the preparatory negotiations for the inaugural meeting, a political agreement related to the inaugural meeting will be signed. Pursuant to the Basic Law, the founding session of the National Assembly is convened by the head of state within thirty days of the election, so the new parliament must be established by May 3 at the latest.

At the inaugural meeting, the President of the Republic will propose the Prime Minister, who - based on the experience of the last two elections - will be elected by the Parliament within a few days with the votes of more than half of the members of the National Assembly. According to the previously established practice, the formation of the new government will take place a few weeks after the inaugural session of the parliament, the constitutional lawyer said.
