The number of vaccinated people in Hungary is 6,403,667, of which 6,188,807 received the second, 3,849,393 the third, and 269,465 the fourth. 2,568 new infections were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infections to 1,865,607 since the beginning of the epidemic. 37, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, so the number of those who died rose to 45,684, koronavirus.gov.hu ​​announced on Thursday.

It was written on the government portal: the number of those who have recovered is 1,723,020, and the number of those who are actively infected is 96,903. 1,724 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, 51 of them are on ventilators. They added: the government continues to ensure the possibility of vaccination.

They wrote that the virus still poses the greatest risk to the unvaccinated, so they are asked to get vaccinated.
Vaccination is still recommended for anyone who has not yet received it. Taking the booster shot is also recommended for everyone who received their first shot more than four months ago, they pointed out.

Vaccination is still possible at hospital vaccination points, family doctors and family pediatricians. The registration and appointment website is constantly open, they wrote.

According to the map on the koronavirus.gov.hu ​​website, the most infected people have been registered in Budapest (328,380) and Pest County (253,303). This is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (109,132), Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (101,334), Győr-Moson-Sopron (100,484), Hajdú-Bihar (98,612) and Bács-Kiskun county (94,009). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna (39,466).

There are 7,340 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples taken is 11,180,076.
