Gergely Karácsony wants to concentrate on the duties of mayor, as local government elections will be held in 2024.

Gergely Karácsony announced that he does not want to run again for the position of Párbeszéd co-chairman. The mayor recommended Bence Tordai for the post to the party members.

ATV caught up with Bence Tordai , the parliament representative of the Párbeszéd, by phone, who confirmed their information, but at the same time said that he still has to think about whether he will run for the position of co-president.

Párbeszéd can hold its next renewal at the end of spring or beginning of summer. Presumably, Karácsony does not want to start the reform process again because he wants to concentrate on the duties of the mayor, as municipal elections will be held in 2024.

Gergely Karácsony was elected co-chairman of Párbeszéd in 2020, even though he had previously promised that he would not pursue party leadership laurels in the future.
