After a forced absence of two years, the Felvidéki Huszár és Hagyományőrző Egyesület organized the commemorative campaign again in the spring of this year, which - as in recent years - was joined by the military tradition keepers of the motherland, writes Kornélia Berényi on the felvidek.ma portal.

The memorial tour began on April 29, in Nagysallo, the scene of the famous battle of Nagysallo, which was one of the most significant battles of the War of Independence on April 19, 1849, when the Hungarian national guards won a brilliant victory over the Austrian army. After that, the participants of the memorial tour passed through Nyírág and Kéty, and then, arriving in the Érsekújvár district, they walked the historical route touching the villages of Bény and Kéménd.

A central ceremony took place in Kőhídgyarmat, which began at the monument next to the church, and then at the old airport, the victorious colonial battle was reenacted with the commentary of Gyula Juhász Juhász . They commemorated the battle on April 20, 1849, which was fought by the Hungarian VII. ended with the victory of the army corps.

On April 30, a commemoration took place in the village of Muzsla, from where the team marched to the memorial of the Battle of Köbölkút. In Szőgyén, the historical retrospective continued Artúr Görgei in the courtyard of Lajos Csongrády Elementary School. Afterwards, they commemorated in Kisújfalu, then crossing the district border, the commemorative tour continued in the Komárom district, via Bátorkeszin and Madar.

On the third day, May 1st, famous events were recalled in Pat and Izsa, then in the afternoon the tradition preservation team marched into the town of Komárom, where after the ceremony at the statue of György Klapka, the 22nd Highland Spring ended with a battle scene in the Old Castle. The event began everywhere with a spectacular procession of hussars, infantry and artillery. The local governments and cultural organizations received the tributes and reports of the military tradition keepers, then joint commemoration and wreath-laying took place in front of the memorial sites set up in the villages. In conjunction with the cavalry and infantry demonstrations, the László Vass presented the equipment, clothing and fighting methods of the troops to the audience.
