Budapest will be the center of the right-wing world for a few days, because on May 19-20. Hungary will host the first European Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), organized jointly by the American Conservative Union (ACU) and the Center for Fundamental Rights. Miklóssál Szánthó, head of the Center for Fundamental Rights, told the Hungarian Nation the following about the timeliness of the conference:
The truth is beyond, in a sense. Because on the other side, the left-liberal elites and their day laborers are the ones who, even in a war situation, do not give up on ideological pressure and the petty power practices used as an excuse, see for example the all-out fire against Hungary in connection with the opposition to the oil embargo.
Even though there is a bloody conflict raging next door, when the EU should be strengthening its own unity, in Brussels they are again busy with the rule of law procedure, the Sargentini report and the rules for creating gender-neutral toilets. While, of course, on the sidelines, they eat up sanctions packages that would ruin the European economies.
Unfortunately, the Hungarian right cannot afford the luxury of not sensing this and not providing answers to it. With the slogan God, home, family, CPAC Hungary is exactly saying that unity is strength, one camp, one flag - not only in this country, but worldwide, this must become a reality on the right.
In the wake of the war, the liberal mainstream is trying in an ugly way to drive a wedge between the spokes of the emerging right-wing movement between nations - let's not give them the pleasure of relating to each other based on their scenario.
So far, CPAC has only been held in a few countries outside of the United States, such as Brazil, Japan, and Australia. This year, the conference will take place in Europe and in Budapest.
According to Szánthó: "the fact that we will be the first on the continent to organize the Center for Fundamental Rights is not just a gesture, but recognition of everything that the Hungarian right represents and has achieved in the past decade. In the West, other right-wing forces are also fighting and achieving partial results, but Hungarian stability, the fact that the Hungarian right-wing is the most integrative political community in this country and the most suitable for identification, is making its counterpart and party rare.
The Hungarian right-wing has realized that democracy cannot only be liberal, and many of our foreign friends are also curious about this realization and its practice, which is why they come to CPAC Hungary.
I think the list of foreign politicians, from former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum to Vaclav Klaus to Belgian, French, Italian or Austrian right-wing leaders, is beyond the scope of this interview. And I haven't even talked about stars like Candace Owens or Ben Ferguson, or Tucker Carlson joining us virtually. All feedback converges in the direction that today the only hope of the Western right-wing is really the Hungarian right-wing.
In connection with the organization and conduct of the CPAC in Hungary, the Center for Fundamental Rights had the honor of helping to organize the conference in Budapest as a co-organizer. Speeches by leading politicians and thinkers, round table discussions and debates open up space for the fulfillment of intellectual needs, while the festival atmosphere and American show elements provide participants with an unforgettable experience. The televised registrations and the live Internet broadcast are used to involve all those who cannot be present at the conference in person.
