If the left had won the election, chaotic years would have followed in Hungary - András Schiffer, the former founder of the LMP, said on the M1. According to the retired politician, many left-wing representatives work in parliament only for their own livelihood. Most recently, a few days ago, Gergely Karácsony said that he thought the voters had made a good decision when they voted no confidence in the left, it was said in the M1 News.

Both the MSZP and the LMP have ceased to exist in a sociological sense, the politicians in these parties are fighting for their livelihood - András Schiffer summarized his opinion on the state of the opposition in the Thursday morning program of M1.

According to the former founder of the Green Party, if the left had won the election, chaotic years would have awaited Hungary, but the danger has not passed, a period of crisis may follow.

"The search for traitors continues, the delegitimization of the laws and the legal order continues, while those who fought for half a constitution here half a year ago are also heavily responsible for the huge fall. it's good to talk about them, but in the meantime more important things are happening in the country and around us," said the former representative.

A few days ago, Gergely Karácsony told Válasz Online that "it is not certain that the voters made the wrong decision when this opposition was not given the authority to govern".

The mayor admitted in the big interview that he also played a role in the election defeat, but according to him

a failure of such proportions cannot be blamed on a single person. He also referred to the fact that DK president Ferenc Gyurcsány made Gergely Karácsony responsible for bringing Péter Márki-Zay onto the neck of the left.

According to the information of Direkt 36, Ferenc Gyurcsány spoke about this at a left-wing meeting at the start of the election campaign in January, which was made public by Telex. In fact, the left-wing politician said in the fiery style known from him that things were going in the wrong direction: "Fuck it Gergő, you brought this man on our necks, it's your responsibility."

The first man of the DK didn't soften his opinion later, already on the night of the election he blamed Péter Márki-Zay for the downfall of the left.

Péter Márki-Zay accuses Direkt 36 of lying. The former Prime Minister candidate of the Left Party said all this in ATV in response to the fact that the portal presented the behind-the-scenes events of the Left Party's election campaign in a long article.

The episode that caused the current controversy in Direk 36 was that in October 2021, one day before the second round of the primary election, the mayor sat down to talk with two advisers. At the end of the meeting, Márki-Zay declared: he does not ask for the advice of campaign experts. He told them all this in an arrogant tone. "Who are you? You don't know anything," said the politician, according to the paper.
