"Jobbik has lost both its moral sense and its voter base," said junior. Zoltán Lomnici, legal expert of the Századvég Foundation, in an interview with Origo. Lomnici Jr. sees that even though Péter Jakab was re-elected by presumably unfair means of power engineering, it says a lot about the current state of Jobbik that, despite the successive scandals, they still see the future of the party as secured in the current leadership. He added: all of this is another proof that nothing has consequences on the left, and it also perfectly illustrates the political comatose states prevailing in Jobbik.

According to Lomnici, the left is still unwilling to respect even the most basic parliamentary norms.

Both the Act on the Parliament and the House Rules prescribe clear rules of conduct for the representatives, which guarantee the effective operation of the legislature worthy of its position under public law, as well as the conscientious fulfillment of the authorization received from the voters. Such a legal requirement includes, among other things, that every representative has the duty to take the initiative in the work of the Parliament and to promote its effective functioning, but it also includes the fact that during a speech, the representative must not deviate from the subject for obvious reasons, by interrupting the speaker or the leader of the meeting may not interfere, may not object to the decision of the chairman leading the meeting or the conduct of the meeting(!), and that the representative may not use the authority of the Parliament, the dignity of the meeting, insult or indecent expression to a person or group, and may not carry out any other such act.

Despite all of this, the members of parliament of the left wanted to deliberately boycott the public law act of taking the oath of office, which is a legal prerequisite for the start of parliamentary work, and with their marches and other attention-grabbing actions, they directly destroy the authority of the Parliament.

In fact, Ferenc Gyurcsány and his party went even further when he called the joint decision and democratic will of the Hungarian nation illegal. However, this kind of political attitude is not a novelty on the part of the left, because we can remember

in the previous parliamentary cycle(s) they also attempted obscene actions that violated the principles of ethics and morality.

In these cases, the goal is clear:

since the current opposition lacks the ability to achieve meaningful political and professional achievements through democratic means, they are trying to destroy the existing public law frameworks with scandal politicization, as well as draw the attention of the international left-liberal media in order for them to report on domestic conditions in a biased manner.

However, on April 3, voters gave a clear and unequivocal answer to the left that Hungarian society does not want this type of politics. The status of a professional politician comes with not only rights, but also legal and even moral obligations, the latter being indicated by the fact that the original meaning of candidate (candidatum - dressed in white) is also rooted in the archaic age.

From Jobbik, Péter Jakab created a far-right, anti-Semitic and racist party that has now lost its identity, which has apparently lost not only its identity, but also its voter base.

Jobbik has no future, its political scope has narrowed or ceased. Sensing the political decline, his former sympathizers backed away from him, so it is no coincidence that after the 2018 elections, the party's representative group, which still had a 25-member faction, has now shrunk to 10 members.

Moreover, as a result of the Jakab-Gyurcsány pact, Jobbik is forced to implement the will of the Democratic Coalition, which process will result in further attrition of the remaining right-wing voters. On top of this hopeless political situation came the suspicion of sexual violence within the party, which provoked further strong social resentment and definitively sealed the fate of Jobbik.

The fact of Ferenc Gyurcsány's leading role on the left is indisputable, as is the fact that he counts on the cooperation and support of the other opposition parties based on subordination, which he already declared in 2014: "cooperation or political death".

It is in the DK's interest to "salamize" the other parties and bring their politicians to its side and create hegemony on the left. Although Momentum has the second largest left-wing faction with 11 members of parliament, and their support competes with that of Gyurcsány's party based on current opinion polls, in terms of both financial and human resources, they fall well short of DK.

The other left-wing parties with almost immeasurable support can still disappear at any time, and Gyurcsány can decide on their parliamentary seats in 2026 in quasi-discretionary powers. These parties lost their sovereignty against the DK a long time ago.
