According to Zoltán Kész, the vice-president responsible for the region of the Everyone's Hungary Movement, one should not talk about fairness, but act like it. That is why, in an open letter, he called on Péter Márki-Zay, the former Prime Minister candidate of the united opposition, the founder of the Mendiki Magyarországa Mozgalom, to account for the joint opposition's campaign funds.

The former Member of Parliament writes in his Facebook post that he makes the maintenance of his leadership membership in the MMM dependent on whether the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely will be able to settle the matter by the end of the month.

"Accounting means two things in my eyes. On the one hand, we will find out exactly what the MMM spent the supporters' money on, and it will also become clear to the public how the remaining amount of the funds transferred from the donors to the campaign will be returned to the donors by the MMM," writes Zoltán Kész.

Regarding the fate of the amounts given to the campaign, several opposition politicians said this week that they had not received an account from MMM. According to the employees of the joint opposition campaign team, the amount received as a donation is more than HUF 100 million. Zoltán Kész fears that his former Prime Minister candidate may use the money to build his own new party.

"I think I don't need to say that using the grants given by the donors for a purpose other than the purpose (for example, building a party from them) is theft, which no one in the party will tolerate," writes the MMM vice president.

In addition to Zoltán Kész, Gábor Üveges and Katalin Lukácsi from the leadership of the Mendiki Magyarországa Movement also spoke about their unwillingness to join Péter Márki-Zay's new party. The latter spoke on HírTv about the need for self-examination of the former Prime Minister candidate.
