The most important thing for the government is to be able to stop the negative economic forces affecting families, which were caused by the war and the failed Brussels energy policy, said the prime minister's political director in Kossuth radio's Sunday newspaper program.

Balázs Orbán recalled that in his inaugural speech, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán undertook to defend the achievements of the past 12 years, including the family support system, pensions, full employment and utility reduction. This requires economically very active, prepared and decisive state action - he underlined, then added that the utility reduction must be protected so that multinational companies and banks do not profit from the current situation.

We must try to break down inflation, we must not let the people pay the price of the war conflict, said Balázs Orbán.

The prime minister's political director also addressed the Russian-Ukrainian war, in connection with which he said that the development of the army will be a top priority in the next government, and also called it clear that the war and its economic effects will be prolonged.

He emphasized that in the current situation it is important to form a political and national unity government, the consequence of which is the return of János Lázár and Tibor Navracsics to the cabinet. According to Balázs Orbán, both ministers are responsible for areas through which funds must be provided to Hungarian families, this means the construction of roads, railways, schools, hospitals and other public institutions, which must be continued, as economic strength can only be achieved through these.

The prime minister's political director was also asked about the fact that civilian national security services were transferred to the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office. Balázs Orbán said

In Europe, it often happens that the bodies specialized in protecting the country's sovereignty are not found separately in the government, but in some way operate around the working organization of the prime minister.

He also mentioned that a very important army review took place in Hungary this week. In his memorable speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), he said that the foundations of conservative, right-wing, Christian-democratic governance can also be seen in everyday life, for example through the fact that the streets are more orderly and cleaner, people are happier and prefer to go to communities.
