It can really frustrate Péter Márki-Zay that he has been relegated to the background and that all his allies are slowly abandoning him, as shown by the fact that he is "yelling" more and more on Facebook. People who I thought were my comrades-in-arms carry out the most despicable attacks against me, he writes.

"It is interesting that if a member of the MMM presidency accuses him of theft and illegal party financing without any basis, the national media will be spinning for days"

- writes the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely, Péter Márki-Zay, in his Facebook post, referring to the statements of Zoltán Kész, the vice president responsible for the regions of the Everybody's Hungary Movement. Kés posted on Friday last week that he would suspend his leadership membership in the movement if Márki-Zay did not account by the end of the month for the amount of 100 million in financial support that the donors offered for the opposition campaign, and which the MMM nevertheless regards as its own money.

"If another member of the MMM presidency stands up for my honor and condemns the attack, almost no one reports on it... I thank Mayor Róbert Lengyel and of course many others for standing up during the discrediting campaign"

adds Márki-Zay. Róbert Lengyel , stood by the ex-prime ministerial candidate of the six-party opposition alliance: in his post, he sent a message to those MMM members, "who among us in the past days and weeks turned onto this stinking swamp road and started kicking and poking the Márki-Zayt lying on the carpet".

Márki-Zay, who is preparing to found a party, added that he was surprised that his close comrades-in-arms launched a discrediting campaign against him.

"After 4 years of struggle, I realized not only that we did not succeed in cleaning up politics, but also that the most despicable attacks were being made against me by those whom I had previously thought were my comrades in arms"

- says Márki-Zay.

THE ONES ATTACKING ME NOW IN THE CAMPAIGN ALSO ANGRY BECAUSE I DIDN'T LET THEM STEAL

The other day, in such a capital letter post, he complained that the Telex portal "CAMPAIGNED AGAINST HIM UNTIL THE END", and then he said: "MOST OF ALL I AM ANGRY BY THE LIBEL THAT ANY CAMPAIGN MONEY COULD BE LINKED TO ME - WHILE THE ONES ATTACKING ME NOW IN THE CAMPAIGN WAS PRECISELY ANNOYED BY THE FACT THAT I DID NOT LEAVE STEAL THEM.” In other words, he accused the Gyurcsánys, his former allies, "yelling" again, and again anonymously.

WHO does Márki-Zay mean?

While it was revealed last week: for the time being, the remaining campaign money is parked with the Márki-Zays, and settlement was promised only by the end of May, so almost two months after the elections. Zoltán Ceglédi, analyst, lawyer and comedian, suggested: "WHO is Márki-Zay thinking about? Who are the actors in the campaign who wanted to steal? How are they called? Doesn't it annoy you that he never names names, only accuses? He did not say who the traitors are, who collude with Fidesz. Nor the gay members of the government.

"Now I don't even know who wanted to steal in the campaign. (…) So we should just name names, at least those who wanted to steal during the campaign. Because this is both ridiculous and pathetic"

- stated the analyst, who cannot in any way be accused of right-wing bias.

He then demanded (also in all caps): “Who wanted to steal by name? So not circumscribed, hinted at, hinted at, not even with the tailor-made solution of only mentioning first names, not even with monograms, but by saying their names properly! Not lying, saying that he had said it before and that "you can know". Let's hear a real answer for once! Who wanted to steal during the opposition campaign? What are they called?! It shouldn't always be this fox-smiling side talk, this cowardly, nameless gossip," said Ceglédi.
