The National Defense Sports Association was established by the Parliament so that children can acquire patriotism, the most basic national defense knowledge and skills through sports, István Simicskó, faction leader of the KDNP, president of the National Defense Sports Association, told Magyar Hírlap the season-ending competition of the Honvéd Cadet Cup in Bánk after, when he emphasized: the association has a distinguished role in the implementation of such high-level sports events as the Honvéd Cadet Obstacle Course.

"The purpose of the Honvéd Cadet Program, which was launched during my time as the Ministry of National Defense, is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and competencies that will enable them to successfully face the dangers and tests of the modern age in order to ensure that the country's defense and security can be guaranteed even more" - said the politician.

The Honvéd Cadet Program is structured in a multi-step system, in which, in addition to participating in general knowledge training, students can also get a taste of some military activities and try national defense sports. For the best, boarding military vocational high school and college are also available to them."

István Simicskó called the creation of a network of National Defense Sports Centers one of the priority tasks of the near future, so that a community space specialized in combat sports, sport shooting, national defense and technical sports is available in most districts. "For many years, the world's stable security order has faltered, the world economy is undergoing transformation, and the environmental effects are becoming more and more unpredictable.

In this uncertain situation, our task is to ensure the future of the younger generations to the best of our ability, and to prepare the next generations of Hungarian youth for the challenges ahead of them, so that they can look to the future optimistically as responsible citizens, as patriots who want to do something, armed with the appropriate competences," said Simicskó Stephen.
