The Hungarian Prime Minister published an entry on his social media page in which he writes that "Europe must be saved from the economic consequences of the war."

In his Facebook post, Viktor Orbán also emphasizes that "an immediate cease-fire and peace negotiations are needed to break the war inflation."

"Only peace can limit wartime inflation" As Mandiner also reported, the Prime Minister gave an interview on Friday in Kossuth Radio's Good Morning Hungary program.

There, he said, the current wartime inflation may persist next year as well. This is why the national defense and war fund had to be created, since the economic crisis beyond wartime inflation is also related to the war and the government wants to protect the living standards of families.

"Hungary was the only country that did not want sanctions, but peace," the prime minister emphasized. He then underlined that wartime inflation can only be limited by peace.
