Finance Minister Mihály Varga refuted the austerity claims of globalist politicians and their media on his social media page.

"The left-wing papers are once again clamoring for austerity, seeing the increased revenues planned in next year's budget. However, the reality is simpler: the performance of the Hungarian economy is strengthening, employment is at its peak, tax evasion is lower, so we can count on higher income despite the constantly decreasing taxes.

The figures for May also show this: even with the tax cuts, the main tax revenues of the budget increased by 23 percent. While HUF 1,323 billion came in last May, HUF 1,630 billion came in this year. Income from corporate tax increased by 40 percent, from small business tax by 50 percent, and from personal income tax by 17 percent.

This achievement contributes to the fact that even in the uncertain global economic situation, we maintain the security of the country, the results of the past years, the reduction of utilities, family subsidies, the value of pensions, and further reduce the deficit and the national debt."
