In order to make education more efficient, the Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér asked the President of the National Association of Teachers (NPK), Péter Horváth, during the consultation of the parties on Monday. Negotiations with the teachers' unions will continue in the summer, Magyar Nemzet wrote.

Péter Horváth made a statement to the newspaper, explaining that the main goal during the negotiations was to establish cooperation, not the lack of teachers and salary increases, as previously reported in the press. He added: they mainly talked about what measurements based on numerical data and facts should be carried out in order to

find out where and when to intervene in educational processes.

Horváth also said that he asked Sándor Pintér to meet regularly in the future, which the Minister of the Interior was open to, but of course the joint work will continue mainly with the State Secretariat responsible for public education led by Zoltán Maruzsa, the Klebelsberg Center and the Office of Education.
