The government made an alliance with pensioners in 2010, and always stands up for the interests of the elderly and protects their benefits, Prime Minister's Commissioner Zsolt Nyitrai emphasized in his Saturday video, which he shared on Facebook.

The politician pointed out that "war inflation" also affects the older age group, which is why it was decided that they would receive an extraordinary pension increase.

In addition to all this, pensioners are also helped by the food price freeze, which will definitely remain until October, and the HUF 480 petrol, he added.

In the video, Katalin Ábrahám, a member of the Council of the Elderly, said: they experience inflation with every purchase, so it is very good that they will receive pension compensation again in July. In addition, this will actually be eight months' compensation, he added.
