Prime Minister Viktor Orbán published a video from Brussels of the meeting of EU leaders on his official social media page.
The prime minister emphasized that in the morning they held negotiations with the leaders of the Western Balkans, and in the afternoon there will be an overview of Ukraine and the war situation.
And tomorrow, I think, we will discuss in sufficient depth and length the European economic situation, which is not rosy at all
- highlighted the prime minister.
The Prime Minister added:
Europe is suffering. It suffers from wartime inflation, it suffers from the wartime economic crisis. In addition, more and more sanction ideas are emerging and sanction proposals are being presented to us. In addition to war, sanctions are the cause of economic problems
Viktor Orbán underlined.
According to the Prime Minister, what is needed now is not new sanctions, but peace, as the only antidote to wartime inflation is peace.
We say yes to Ukraine's EU membership, we say yes to peace and no to further sanctions
