As you may remember, a few days before the elections, partially burned postal ballots were found in an illegal landfill in Jedden, neighboring Marosvásárhell. Then, according to the reports of Transtelex and hvg.hu, it is clear that the ballots without exception contained votes cast for the opposition. As MTI wrote, the Maros County Police investigated the scene and collected the evidence.

However, the Krónika news portal reported yesterday that the investigation into the partially burned postal ballots thrown out at the illegal garbage dump located on the border of the Jedd settlement near Marosvásárhely is still ongoing, but the Maros county prosecutor's office assumes that it is a farce staged for the press .

As you can read, Mircea Galina , the spokesperson of the Maros county prosecutor's office, spoke about this to the Hungarian opposition newspaper Népszava. The spokesperson confirmed the previously published press information that there were thirteen completed ballots and some empty envelopes . As he said, the investigations so far have not led to results, as there are no surveillance cameras at the site, the partially burned and destroyed papers were extremely dirty, and no fingerprints were found on them.

The damaged remains were sent to Bucharest for bio-forensic tests. According to Mircea Galina, the ballots and envelopes could have come from anywhere in Maros and Hargita counties. It seems that these are not valid votes, the identification data is incomplete. Presumably, packages of letters taken out of mailboxes were filled and then destroyed, empty, discarded envelopes were collected, and the whole thing was organized for the press. As to who is behind what happened, who or who were the directors, perhaps the bio-forensic investigation will help to answer that.
