The Hungarian Civil Cooperation Association has prepared a research on Budapest under the title Civic Values Research 2022. Several interesting facts about the thinking of the residents of Budapest have been revealed: for example, it has not been possible to raise EU citizens from the residents of Budapest, the large majority still primarily identify themselves as Hungarian.

According to the research director, the strongest value is health and safety, and it is also clear that family is an outstanding value.

The stereotype that Budapest is the most liberal city in the country is no longer true either.

- was said during the presentation of the research. Zsolt Varga, the research director, also emphasized that it is shocking that the people of Budapest no longer classify religion as part of their civic values. He added that the change in the values of the respondents occurred at the age of 49, so above this age the way of thinking becomes more and more bourgeois, it can be seen that this is when society matures.

The research also reveals that single people are more liberal, and those with multiple children represent a more bourgeois value system. As a surprising twist, the research shows that Pest has much more civil values than Buda.

Many people no longer admit that they voted for the opposition

The authors of the research asked the question, if the parliamentary elections were this Sunday, which party would the respondents vote for. The answers revealed that more than fifty percent would vote for Fidesz. - This is confirmed by the results of the by-elections - emphasized Zsolt Varga. It is interesting that when asked who they voted for in the parliamentary elections in April,

more than seven percent no longer agreed to vote for the opposition.
