According to Slovan Bratislava, the biggest duel of the last decade awaits the team in the Champions League qualifier against Ferencváros. Of course - knowing Slovakian "hospitality" and the treatment of Hungarian fans, the focus of attention is not necessarily only on the events taking place on the pitch...

The Slovak club announced on its website: the first leg of the second round of the BL qualifying will be held in Budapest, while the second leg in Bratislava already has an exact date, it will be played on Wednesday, July 27, from 8:30 p.m.

They reported enormous interest in the latter meeting, and then added that special attention is being paid to security because they do not want a repeat of the 1992 incident.

They recalled: during the clash between the two teams at that time, many away fans got into the section reserved for domestic spectators, which resulted in a confrontation.

You can also put it that way. It is also possible to tell the truth and establish that

the Slovak policemen, commandos or whatever they call such animals brutally attacked the Hungarian fans. And not the last time, in 1992...

In any case, they will now start selling tickets in a closed circle to their fans who want to prevent trouble until Saturday - those who have recently bought a pass or ticket will be notified first and can be reached electronically - to provide their team with as much support as possible during the match and thereby increase security.

Tickets for the meeting in Bratislava cost 12-30 euros (4,920-12,300 forints) in four categories, and 10-24 euros for season ticket holders. VIP tickets cost 130 and 200 and 104 and 160 euros in two categories.

In the first round of the qualifiers, Ferencváros saw off Kazakh Tobol Kosztanaj, while Slovak Slovan Bratislava, which also employs Dávid Holman, saw off Georgian Dinamo Batumi. In order to reach the main table, four duels must be won, and the Hungarian and Slovak teams successfully won one each.
