Balázs Orbán, the prime minister's political director, wrote an open letter addressed to Fareed Zakaria, the presenter of the American news channel CNN. According to the Hungarian politician, the latest video of the left-wing press product is another example of how the Western liberal media deliberately tries to misinform about Hungary.

Balázs Orbán stated: it is clearly fake news that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke of a "pure Hungarian race". The Prime Minister said the exact opposite, that we Hungarians are a mixture of different peoples who have merged in a "Hungaro-Pannon sauce". Although the Hungarian government rejects mass migration, it does so only on cultural and civilizational grounds, and never on biological or racial grounds, added the prime minister's political director.

When during his speech he mentioned the century-and-a-half-long Ottoman occupation of Hungary and the siege of Vienna, Viktor Orbán hinted that Islamic civilization has a historical tendency to move towards Europe, and that we have a responsibility to protect the eastern borders of Christianity. And I must categorically reject the comments regarding the Prime Minister's alleged anti-Semitism - continued Balázs Orbán. He added that the Hungarian government shows zero tolerance towards racism and anti-Semitism, this has been our firm policy for the past twelve years.

The politician also touched on the fact that although the presenter reported that the prime minister's advisor resigned after the speech in Tusványos, the second half of the story was omitted. The former adviser confirmed that in the past twenty years he had no reason to think that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was racist or anti-Semitic, adding that he was proud of the Prime Minister, who could count on his support in the future.

Balázs Orbán emphasized that Hungarians are freedom-loving people who are ready to fight for the values that are important to them, and most of them reject progressive values. "I understand why the left opposes us, but if they don't agree with our position, we should have a debate instead of spreading false information on the air."

The Prime Minister's political director finally suggested Fareed Zakaria that in such turbulent times, instead of educating and criticizing each other with baseless claims, we should join forces to preserve and improve our Western civilization.
