It is still very popular, about 230,000 families have already benefited from the discount, and it is not typical for support contracts to fall through, state secretary Eszter Vitályos said. The government strongly supports childbearing, and since 2010, new elements have been added to the family support system that encourages the birth of the desired children.

A total of 230,000 families have applied for the family home building discount (csok), which can be applied for both the purchase and construction of used and new real estate, pointed out the parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, who was asked about the details by current representative Éva Sebők. Eszter Vitályos added: a total of HUF 727 billion of support was used, one quarter for new and three quarters for used apartments and houses.

It is known that chocolate can be claimed not only by those with children, but also by spouses, cohabitants and single parents, depending on the number of children assumed, in the amount of HUF 600,000 to 10,000,000.

If the planned children are not born, or if other conditions of the support are not met (for example, they do not live long enough in the purchased house), then according to the rules, the money received must be repaid, but according to Eszter Vitályos, this does not happen often. As he wrote: only in about two percent of cases has it been necessary to pay back the support - due to illegal use.

The success of the program is also shown by the good rate of childbearing, with more than 31,000 children born among the supported families so far.

The State Secretary also explained that the social security is only one part of the uniquely complex family support system, since young people can use ten million forints in babysitting support, tax and duty discounts, and home renovation support. nursery places, the income tax paid last year was returned to those with children, textbooks are free, and children's meals are also very discounted.

"We are on the side of Hungarian families, and as long as Hungary has a civilian government, this will not change. We are aware that there are still many tasks ahead of us, but the Christian civil government will continue to work every day in the future to ensure that Hungarian families can live their lives in peace and security," said the state secretary.
